Details

Tomoe means twisting or circle. Indeed, the symbol shows three sickle like shapes in the form of a spiral. These shapes suggest flames and for this reason the Tomoe is often referred to as the fire symbol. It is found in Shinto and Buddhist faiths and is often seen in temples of these religions. The Tomoe with two flames is similar to the Yin-Yang and represents the same concepts. When found with three flames, as seen here, the symbol represents Earth, Heaven, and Mankind which indeed lie at the bassis of the Shinto philosophy.

The Tomoe symbol is available with differing options.

The base symbol is encircled & made of solid sterling silver. It is 2cms in diameter & is supplied with a hand-made black, cotton cord.

It is also possible to purchase the symbol with an elegant solid sterling silver chain. There is also a larger encircled model (size 2.6 cms in diameter), & an open version (3.0 cms circa, depending on the model)

All items are sold with its own exquisite gift box and bag (as seen in the photos).
